Textile engineering experience has given rise to a new, innovative fabric, created to improve athletic performance for professionals and amateurs alike: C.E.F. “Carbon Energized Fiber”. Under Shield® garments are fashioned from an exclusive combination of yarns with exceptional, hard-to-find technical qualities: CARBON ENERGIZED FIBER & DRYARN®. CARBON ENERGIZED FIBER Fabric fibres combined with a continuous, conductive filament of Carbon Energized active carbon, which reacts to human thermodynamics to improve performance in any sports discipline. DRYARN® A material that’s more breathable than polyester, more insulating than wool, and lighter than any other fibre. DRYARN®, LIGHTNESS THAT GIVES WEIGHT TO WELL-BEING. A garment in Dryarn® weighs: 32% less than the same garment in wool 34% less than the same garment in polyester. During moderate-intensity training sessions, Dryarn© draws perspiration outward, helping balance the body’s thermo-regulation system and keeping skin dry.

C.E.F. TECHNOLOGY

The union of Carbon Energized Fiber and polypropylene Dryarn® aids and assists the body during physical activity. Carbon Energized Fiber wicks perspiration away from the body, drawing it to the surface of the fabric for unrivaled breathability, reducing moisture levels on the skin. It also ensures the body’s temperature stays constant, reducing sensations of heat and fatigue. Athletes will immediately reap the benefits of balanced thermoregulation: heart rates drop and breathing improves. How does Carbon Energized Technology react when body temperature rises? When an athlete’s body temperature increases (be it due a hard workout or summer heat), the base of the molecules in the material expands, encouraging breathability and wicking moisture away from the body. However, when the temperature drops again, the base of the material closes, trapping a thin layer of air between the skin and the fabric, thereby stabilizing the athlete’s body temperature. It has been shown that garments in Carbon Energized Fiber increase athletic performance while better protecting muscles thanks to the conductivity of C.E.F. over the mid/long-term.

Carbon Energized Technology can lower an athlete’s heart rate by 4 beats per minute compared to polyester.

Under Shield® garments help improve respiratory efficiency, reducing oxygen intake requirements by 3 liters per minute on average.

If a textile article carries the STANDARD 100 label, you can be certain that every component of this article, i.e. every thread, button and other accessories, has been tested for harmful substances and that the article therefore is harmless in human ecological terms. In many cases the limit values for the STANDARD 100 go beyond national and international requirements.

Our Dryarn® and Prolen® fibers are Ecosustainable for a better world. The Under Shield® family has decided to take an Ecosustainable path by carefully choosing their own fibers and the entire production cycle, reducing to the minimum the usage of electricity for production. We care a lot about our environment that’s why we behave and produce our underwear with the most respect for nature in order to preserve it the way we inherited it for our future needs. PROLEN®YARN, DRYARN® and its productions do not pollute the environment (water, air or soil). During the production of our underwear only a small amount of water is used (as opposed to cotton, to produce 1 kg up to 11 liters of water). Use the lowest temperature, or less energy (up to 45%). No pesticides or toxic dyes are used to produce our garments.
